Deepen your understanding of how your Essences can be infused into your work. For all levels of actors.

WEEK 1: We’ll start with some cold reads and exercises that will focus on using your Essences Statements and other results to inform your character choices.

WEEK 2: You will be sent a choice of a famous monologue from TV/Film to work on. Memorization not required. We’ll work on finding your “signature performance” while fighting against the preconceived notion of “how it’s done” based on the celebrity who did it first. We’ll also work on some improv scenes to help both newbies and veterans of improv discover how to apply your results.

WEEK 3: You will be sent a 1-2 page script ahead of time to prepare. We’ll talk about using your Creative Dynamic Vocab along with your other results for finding your “way in” to a character.

WEEK 4: You will be sent an even longer script of either multiple scenes, or a much longer scene with distinct changes in emotional content. We’ll talk about how your work can inform characters that actually have an arc (this can also apply to theater as well).

We never expect you to be off book for the scene work that we send you ahead of time. There will be instructions in the emails sent out before each week with directions on how to prepare. The intent of this work is not to replace the other training you've had, but instead to complement it by making your prep super specific to you.

This class is taught by fellow grad Zele Avradopoulos. Her goal is to convert your Essence Statements into clear, bookable marketing tools you can use immediately!

The workshop will cover:

• Tags + loglines: Translate quickly to reps and casting

• Headshot check: What’s aligned vs. what feels confusing/off-brand

• Online Profiles: Sell your Essence cleanly (without sounding “workshoppy”)

• Resume alignment: Shape your credits so your casting story is instantly clear

We replicate the “Day 4” experience from the workshop and dive deep into your results and their applications in your marketing and other aspects of your career.

NOTE: we do NOT give new Essences or Neighborhoods. We are interested in diving deep into your current results.
